SofterWare Gives Back Program Donates Almost $100,000 to Local Nonprofits

Horsham-based software company, serving non-profits and educational institutions, donates almost $100,000 to local non-profits.

Horsham, PA. – 8/20/14 – SofterWare Inc., a leading provider of software products for non-profits and educational organizations, is pleased to announce the formalization of their efforts to support local non-profits via donations and by supporting employee volunteerism. Douglas Schoenberg, CEO and Co-Founder of SofterWare, said “This effort is just one example of a core value at SofterWare — We care and Give Back.” He further noted, “The Company and our employees have been supporting our community for many years, and this program expands on that tradition.”

Kathy Piunti, SofterWare’s Director of HR notes, “We are really proud that the idea and structure of the SofterWare Gives Back Program came from employees. This really demonstrates how passionate they are about the community we serve.”

The SofterWare Gives Back program includes the following:

Corporate Donation Program – Last year, SofterWare donated approximately $93,000 to 13 different Pennsylvania non-profits in support of their educational missions. Recipients of these donations were nominated and voted on by SofterWare employees.

Employee Volunteer Program – SofterWare encourages employee involvement with non-profits, and SofterWare staff have provided their time and expertise doing everything from helping to build websites to leading fundraising initiatives for numerous organizations. In addition, SofterWare employees have organized several company-wide initiatives, including Red Cross blood drives and teams for numerous walks and races.

Matching Gifts – This new program has already generated $3250 in SofterWare-matched donations for causes that are important to our employees.

Youth Team Sponsorship – So far, four local youth teams nominated by employees have received SofterWare sponsorship.

Discounted Software Program – SofterWare products are provided through a variety of discount programs to support very small non-profits. In addition, non-profits in which employees are actively engaged are eligible for special pricing.
