The primary goal of this Sales Development Representative will be to engage pre-sales leads through outbound calls and personal emails in support of targeted marketing campaigns. These are typically prospects who expressed interest in our content marketing, submitted only their email address on our website, cold emails/calls from lists generated from Guidestar and LinkedIn, or Donor Management solution shoppers identified by comparison websites. They will engage these prospects and generate leads for sales.
The Sales Development Representative will be able to answer basic questions about DonorPerfect and using predetermined qualification criteria, pass them over to our sales reps to demo and close.
Responsibilities
- Engage with content downloaders via outbound calls and emails
- Contact leads who fill out only their email address on our website to qualify and advance them in the sales process
- Reach out to prospects identified through research on LinkedIn, Guidestar, and IRS lists
- Advance website visitors into the sale funnel through live chat
- Update Salesforce with new and relevant organization and contact information from both internal and external sources.
- Qualify prospects and conduct initial discovery
- Provide knowledge of our solutions and insight into customer needs in written and verbal communication
- Conduct clear, concise, and consistent follow up via email when appropriate
- Proactively maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as industry and client needs
- Increase sales pipeline of themselves and others through lead generation efforts
- Research organizations in the buying process as indicated by G2 Crowd’s “shopper intent” alerts, and other third-party offerings.
- Contribute to targeted marketing plans and other marketing campaigns by providing constant feedback to marketing on the effectiveness of different messages and campaigns

Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable cold-calling people potential clients, and persuading them to take the desired action
- Organized, ability to multitask, detail-oriented and independently motivated
- Ability to learn quickly and provide detailed solution information to prospects and clients
- Must be professional and self-motivated, willing to take on new ideas and change course based on data and clear evidence
- Interest in helping people and nonprofit organizations succeed
- Ability and desire to excel at prospecting by web search and telephone
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or Communications or relevant experience
- Experience in telemarketing and/or lead generation/qualification preferred
- Knowledge of marketing funnel and processes
