There are many new developments that we are excited to share with you.  This issue is filled with helpful tools and tips that we hope you will find beneficial.  Most importantly, we are proud to announce the upcoming Spring release of EZ-CARE2 Version 7.0.  We have incorporated many of your suggestions as well as some exciting new enhancements in Version 7.0.  Happy reading!

EZ to View!

It's EZ to VIEW, manipulate and edit your data with EZ-CARE2.
  • Would you like to review information from several different records at the same time?
  • Are you spending too much time looking for specific data?
  • Are you dreading the time it will take to make the same change to multiple records?
  • Are you eager to improve the communication with your families without working all night?
Your problems are solved when you utilize the EZ-Viewer feature of your EZ-CARE2 software. Activating this feature enables you to access your selected data in a grid (spreadsheet-like) format to manipulate as you wish.

Call for Version 7 Beta Testers

Try Version 7 Early!The excitement and anticipation for the upcoming release of Version 7 continues to grow as we describe the many new features and capabilities to our clients. Some of these include:
  • The ability to schedule a backup to an FTP off-site location
  • Increased performance in speed and data manipulation
  • Auto-fill for quick data-entry into cash receipts
  • Improved Quickbooks integration
  • Multi-user improvements - allows posting processes without the need to have other users exit the system.
  • Improved toolbar graphics.
  • Enhanced transaction processing gateway which provides SafeSave ™, our new feature to securely save (without PCI compliance concerns) parent credit card or bank account information for reuse in Insta-charge, Click-to-pay, and EFT.  Also ACH processing is now available for Click-to-pay and Insta-charge.
New Electronic Delivery
To speed distribution of Version 7, we're moving to all-electronic distribution of the update and manuals via download from the Clients Only Download area of our website. Don't worry, if you still require a CD, you'll be able to contact the support department to request it.

Call for Beta Testers
We are now at the point where we are looking for centers to help us in the Beta testing phase while we complete the documentation, the online help, and the "What's New in Version 7" materials. Please send an email to rleatherman@softerware.com if you would like to receive an early copy of Version 7 and help us test -or- provide feedback on all of these features.

Recent Additions to the SofterWare Family!

We are always excited to introduce you to the newest additions to our team.

In October, Lauren Sheehan was hired as our Client Relations Manager.  Lauren brings a great deal of experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm for outstanding customer service to this position. We're looking forward to her contributions towards improving the satisfaction of all of SofterWare's customers.



Our support team is one of the most critical departments at SofterWare.  Mike Gilbert joined our Support Staff in December.   If you've called for support assistance recently, you may have already had the opportunity to work with him.  We are happy to have Mike as part of our team.

New "Ask the Trainer" Webinar Debuts March 30th

What could be better than having a webinar available to you called "Ask the Trainer"? We're going to host a live forum where your questions on the topics presented at our webinars can be explored in depth. For instance, maybe you forgot or missed the opportunity to ask "how do I invoice someone other than the child's primary parent?" in our Tuition and Payments webinar or "how do I change the tab order of my fields?" in the Customizing Your System webinar.

How Does Reducing Receivables by Over 40% Sound?

A just completed research study, commissioned by SofterWare, looked at the impact of EZ-CARE2's Click-to-Pay online payment technology on receivables and speed of payment by analyzing actual client data.  The findings were even more dramatic than we anticipated including:
