We know that you have been hearing about some of the great new features in
the Version 5 of EZ-CARE2, but here is one we couldn't wait to share. Now
you can export data from
EZ-Viewer directly to a comma-delimited file
(.CSV) that can be opened in another program such as Excel. Detailed
instructions can be found on pages 73-74 of the new manual. It's a great way
to email information to people who don't use EZ-CARE2, and to use the data
manipulation and formatting tools of a spreadsheet.
Some Examples:
The data in your EZ-Viewer can be transformed automatically into an Excel
spreadsheet! Now you can bold print parts of it, change colors, format it any
way you want, present the data as a pie-chart or other graphical form, show
enrollment distributions, analyze referral sources, and much more! Want to
see more examples?

To Export Data from EZ-Viewer:
You need to choose a view that is not updatable. When you do, the export
button will be visible on the bottom. You may select records to export by
choosing a selection criterion, and/or by checking the
"M"
column for each record you want. If you do not use the
"M"
column to select rows, the system will ask if you want to export all the
records in the viewer or just the one that is currently highlighted. Click
Export
and name your path or use the
Browse button to select the
destination.
When you export from a Child tab view, you are able to choose whether you
want the children's names in columns (Horizontal Layout) with one row per
family, or, with each child in a separate row (Vertical Layout).
