The last several months have been incredibly busy and productive for DonorPerfect Online (DPO). In addition to adding more than a hundred new customers, we’ve been working on our latest release of DPO. This round of features will greatly help you save time, ensure accuracy, and raise more funds!

New Spring Release Wows Clients! (Release Date 4/8/2006)

On April 8th, a new day will dawn for all DonorPerfect Online clients. Automatically, our latest upgrade will be uploaded to all our servers, allowing you instant access to the latest and greatest features of DonorPerfect Online.

Here’s what’s included:

 


Eliminate Duplicates at Data Entry
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you enter a new person or organization, the system will automatically look for potential duplicates in the database. The checking criteria will include all possible matches on the last name, address, phone number, or email address. If any of these fields in the new record matches an existing record, the system will prompt you to either select the appropriate existing record to edit, or ignore the potential duplicate and create a new record (which could happen if two donors happen to share the same phone number or email address).

Clients can also choose to disable this option by clicking on Utilities, Parameters, Entry Screens, and turning off the option for “Check for duplicates when creating new donors.”

In addition to our other duplicate maintenance options, we believe this new feature will really increase accuracy and reduce potential duplicates in your database. Be sure to try it!

 


New Comprehensive Financial Report Makes Reporting Easy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our new “Comprehensive Donor Revenue Analysis” report makes it easy to compare different periods, year over year. It contains over 26 separate statistics and includes counts and totals for:
  • Active Donors
  • New Donors
  • Reactivated Donors
  • Retention Rates
  • And much, much more!

The report also contains drill-downs to easily access these different segments.

To access the report, simply click on Reports, Financial Reports, and select the “Comprehensive Donor Revenue Analysis” option in the report window.

 


Instant Credit Card Processing!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you know that on average, donors are likely to give up to 20% more when using a credit card versus other payment means? If you already offer credit card payment options or want to, DPO now offers fully integrated processing with a single click.

When you enter a gift in DonorPerfect, you'll have an option to process a credit card on the Gift Screen. This will allow real-time authorization and validation of the card, and collects the funds from the donor's credit card account. This authorization and payment process is similar to using a credit card terminal, except that there's no physical terminal needed--you simply type in the credit card information and expiration date. The payment is automatically recorded in the donor's giving history, and because the processing is authorized and processed in real-time, there is no need to store the credit card data - eliminating security concerns.

You will need to set up a credit card merchant account, and we're making that process easy too!

Save on Postage with Instant Address Verification!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is your message reaching your donors 100% of the time? Are you wasting time and money resending mailings to bad addresses?

With our FREE address verification service, you can now verify addresses in both the US and Canada at the time you enter the address--so that you can easily correct the address while you are still in contact with the donor.

It’s easy to use. When entering the address, simply click on the “Verify Address” button next to the address information. A pop-up window will let you know if the address is valid and will also offer alternative addresses if a match is not found. In addition, our address checker also determines if the address requires an apartment number or condo unit designation.

The instant address verification is only used for new addresses, and only checks to see if the address is valid. It does NOT check if the person you typed in actually still lives there.

We also have data services that will check the accuracy of your entire database and can CASS certify your database for the lowest postage rates as well as NCOA (National Change of Address) service to check for donors that have recently moved.

Quick Links to Custom Sections
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Within DPO, you have always had the ability to add new user defined fields to almost any screen in the system. These fields can then be grouped into logical sections (e.g. capital campaigns, targeting, volunteers, etc.) to make it easier for you to read on the screen.

Our new “Quick Link” feature will make it easy to get to these sections. At the top of each page, DPO will display Quick Link hyperlinks for each section on the page. Simply click on one of these Quick Links, and you will instantly move to that section.

Not sure if you have user defined fields or sections? You can always maintain your user defined fields by clicking on Utilities, User-Defined Fields.
